  1. Their servers are generally on-line most of the time but after years of hosting my accounts they changed things on their servers and broke the functionality of one of my sites so the script would no longer forward order information to another site that I also had hosted with GoDaddy on a different server. Upon contacting them I spent several days going back and forth with a different so-called support rep each time I contacted them and they all told me everything was working fine and that my script was at fault. Not one of them seemed to know anything they were talking about. Eventually I got the answer from one rep who said that I should never have been able to use the standard php features that I was using as they don’t support them but if I upgrade to a more powerful dedicated server everything will be fine. Well curl was supported when I signed up but not anymore I guess. I found a workaround for that issue but now a few months later they changed something else and a simple progress indicator for file uploads no longer displays because they have changed the php settings again. I asked them what was changed and they tell me that the site is working fine and they see the progress indicator when they use the form. They also tell me that APC is installed when clearly it is NOT. The un-funny thing is they can’t seem to take a screen shot of the form functioning as they say it does. I have unhappy and very confused clients because the simple file upload progress bar that should be displayed is now replaced by an error message. GoDaddy refuses to even acknowledge that the issue exists and obviously does not care about keeping a client they have had for a decade. As soon as I can get my files transferred to a new host I’m gone and never looking back. Stay very far away from GoDaddy if you care anything about the integrity of your file host and their customer support. They will try and strong-arm you into upgrading to a hosting plan you do not need by crippling your site and acting like everything is working just as designed. I give them two stars for up-time but up-time means nothing unless the server actually functions correctly when it is up. Can I give them zero stars for everything else?

My site went down days ago when they failed to install my ssl key. This is the worst host company ever. Customer service would all the chat and phone are only message takers who blame customers for problems. I could rant for hours but suffice to say you should stay away from GoDaddy at all costs!!
