    If the website is up, it seems to be quite satisfying. Lately, the up-time has been slipping with Inmotionhosting. For the past 6 months, there were a couple of web glitches that timed out on our pages. I called the support and they say there were some heavy load on their server causing the outage. FYI, we have been with them for about 5 years and was happy in the beginning but now 2013 things are not quite the same.

    I just ordered and paid for my new domain and thought the rest should be pretty easy. The following day I received a voice message to call and I guess verbally confirm my account? However, I had to travel for a big family wedding and wasn’t able to call back within a few days. In the meantime I felt as if I were being harassed by all the calls from them! They even called me at 7:00am on a Saturday morning, woke me up, and asked if I had a half an hour to confirm my account. I nicely let them know that it was 7am my time (which is MST) and that I would call back next week. So on Monday my account had been deactivated. I called back and was transferred 5 times to the same few departments and had to explain each time why I was calling. Then the last person I talked to kept apologizing for the time it took to reactivate my account and said he was going to give me a discount…but then oh, it was working so he essentially took back the discount! Wow. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with Blue Host and deeply regret trying out this hosting company.

    I’ve been with InMotion since April 2011. I’ve recently learned my client emails have been randomly blocked by spam filters at InMotion. The filters have been set at the default setting. Yesterday tech support worked on the problem. Today a client sent (at my request) duplicate emails through InMotion’s server and Gmail. The Gmail arrived. The email sent through InMotion disappeared into oblivion. If you have a business do not use these people. I repeat, do not trust their ability to forward email. I called tonight after this event and held for 50 minutes. My phone timed the wait. The service rep who answered blew me off. His solution was to turn off their spam filter, assuming he actually told me the truth. I am grateful Labor Day weekend is approaching. It will give me time to move to another web host.

    I was forced to move to a VPS hosting from my business PRO plan citing high resource usage whereas none of my sites were even operational !!! The customer care too is extremely poor. I will write a detailed report about my experience shortly.

    Its the worst kind of hosting experience ive ever had. Even Hostmonster is a million times better with its singular plan. I had taken business pro plan for 2 years. 6 months down the line they suspended my account twice citing “high resource” usage, which in turn turned out to be traffic from certain IPs. I enabled caching on my sites and also banned those IPs as suggested, but despite that i was told the problem couldnt be resolved. Please note that the 3 websites hosted were all in development stage and not even submitted on search engines. The second time that they suspended the account, they wouldnt reactivate it for me to look into the problem. Instead i was asked to either upgrade to VPS hosting or leave. I asked them to open my account for 2 hours so that i could back up my sites using akeeba (all 3 sites were joomla sites) so that it was convenient for me to transfer the same. However they didnt relent for a moment. And so finally i was coerced into opting for their VPS. Adding insult to injury was the fact that while their site showed VPS-1000 at $29.99/month i was still charged $49.99 (which they said was their regular price) for the same plan. I cribbed but to no effect. They did not accomodate any of my requests. Infact the chat used to end prematurely and i couldnt even save the transcripts. So every time i had to repeat my grim story to end up getting the same results after hours of persuasion. Now comes the still sadier part which compelled me to write this review. I wouldve given them ZERO stars on all counts i i had an option. ‘Please consider the following facts:

    This is probably one of the worst web hosting I ever had.
    Moved the website, and after two week the web site was blocked by inMotion hosting.
    It took me four days, until I managed to reach someone at support team in order to unblock the web site. The reason to block the web site was that one process used too much CPU. Would not be easier just to kill that process rather then to block the whole web site ?
    Few weeks later similar problem too much memory used. (We signed for the most expensive business package)

    In order to get a help from the support team, I had to give them literally all passwords and user names related to the web site, plus I had to give them the credit card numbers. Without providing all these details they are not able to help.
    This is how much they care about security of their clients.
    Cannot wait to move to another provider.

    I have been very happy with this company. They have 24/7 support and the support people have been knowledgeable and courteous. The pricing is very competitive and they offer all kinds of software and features.

    Disappointing. There was a problem with the server I was being hosted on. It made it not possible to send out email addresses. I explained the problem to Inmotion support (after spending a lot of time investigatig the issue) but I generally got the impression they weren’t reading my emails, skim reading them, or didn’t really want to investigate the issue. Emails get picked up by different people so information often gets lost for more complex issues which can be pretty frustrating. Site has been down quite a bit also. I emailed to complain and was told that this was the nature of webhosting (that server sometimes go down).

    Overall, I’ve not been impressed at all.

    So far my experience as a new user with their customer / tech support has been quite disappointing. I had to transfer a URL from a different hosting site. The first person I spoke to gave me inaccurate information, and so now it’s heading on to a month and my site has STILL not transferred. It seems every time I get a hold of them I get some new bit of information that the person before me didn’t tell me, prolonging and confusing the entire process. Also, on a few occasions it has taken upwards of 20 -30 minutes to get through to support. Their team seems really helpful and you get the sense they want to help you. But at least for me the information I got was more harmful then helpful, and it turned what should have been a straightforward process into a dragged out nightmare. It seems others have had better results then me, but I thought if fair to share my frustration with others.

    Truely some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Went out of their way to assist me. As I am not a “geek”, working with me in this environment can (I am sure) be very frustruating for technical support personnel. They have made this whole process very “doable” for someone such as myself with no experience. Absolute pleasure on the phone support. With this level of customer care, I cannot imagine why anyone would use another company! I am an extremely satisfied customer and looking forward to being a very long term customer!!

    The InMotion customer cervice is the best I have ever experienced. PERIOD.
    IM seems to be one of the very very few companies that understands that this is exactly the way their customers will stick around. Until now, I contacted customer service twice and was surprised by their helpfulness and friendliness each time.
    I don’t even think there is space for improvement.

    I just started using InMotion. They have been great to deal with. For the novice that I am, they have been extremely helpful and accommodating every time I have needed to contact them. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing the services they provide.

    I have had a problem with a learning management system that was being hosted with InMotion. The Chat people were good at trying to help me, but were unable to correct the problem. The site remains deactivated and the problem remains unresolved – meaning my students (University) no longer have an online course to go to (their exams start next week). Additionally, two years of work towards a PhD was tied up in the weblogs of the site disabled by InMotion. I still hold out a faint glimmer of hope that this InMotion will get around to activating my Moodle site – but as you can imagine, my faith in this company has taken a pretty big hit. If there are issues then these need to be resolved effectively and in a timely manner. In the mean time I guess I will have to ring up people and advise them that their classes have been cancelled – thanks guys.

    I feel compelled to write a positive review of Inmotion because I chose them as a direct result of independent reviews written by other users. I have previously used ADDR for over ten years. I disliked them because they had frequent email downtime, their 800 number does not work, and has not for some time, their live chat does not work and they will not respond to email. How can you operate a business without email from clients? For years I resisted making a change for fear I would subscribe to some other incompetent provider. Finally I came across real customer reviews of web hosting companies on the internet, not one of those bogus reviews that is actually an ad. Inmotion appeared to be loved by its clients. I called the 800 number (incredibly it worked) and within a short period of time I was signed up and received detailed instructions for making the change from ADDR. The service rep was terrific. I can’t describe how liberated I feel to know my web hosting company will actually talk to me! I’ve completed the transition and can now return to just operating my business. Thank you Inmotion.

    I have done a couple of other websites on other services. My site went up very easily. I had a couple of glitches which I used the chat service to help clean up my web problems. Very helpful. It ended up that the problem was at my end with the software I was using. Fixed it and things went well.

    I was setting up my second site with InMotion Hosting when I hit a problem. My cell phone did not work where I was located so I tried chat. It took about two sentences to describe the problem and the tech said he would take care of it. It was fixed in about 15 minutes!

    inMotion might be a good service if you understand web hosting and registration already. If you are new to it, then go elsewhere. I found the service to NOT be user friendly so I did move to another company. During the transfer of my domain tech agent James R. tried to help, but got easily flustered at my lack of understanding in hosting lingo and process. Overall it was a negative experience that cost me $157 and my domain is still not transfered. Newbies go someplace else, they don’t have time for you here.

    I am a new customer of InMotion, but I am already impressed.
    I can already tell my site’s performance has increased since moving AWAY from GoDaddy.

    In regards to this issue, I had trouble with mail getting bounced back from a recipient and they quickly diagnosed the problem on their end. In addition, they gave me multiple detailed examples of things I could do to improve my mail being received on the other end. Thanks!

    More than hostgator and bluehost i think Inmotion hosting is much good and reliable web host. Their support level is awesome and fulfill your current and future needs. People should always remember that quality never comes cheap. So, better find a host that is reliable and good for your future needs, don’t look at money if you want to satisfied with the service.

    Overall I’ve been happy with InMotionHosting, and they provide accurate and relatively quick answers to trouble tickets.
    Maybe you will find some host offering the same service at lower price, but don’t let the performance of your websites to be compromised. If you want quality you have to pay for it!
